Counseling for Adults

Life can feel overwhelming when you’re balancing responsibilities, navigating change, or carrying more than others can see. At Simply Thrive, we provide a welcoming, judgment-free space where you can slow down, speak openly, and focus on your own well-being. You don’t need to have everything figured out—or be in crisis—to benefit from counseling.

Whether you’re experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, relationship challenges, burnout, or a major life transition, we work with you to understand your experiences and identify what you want to change. Therapy is tailored to your needs, strengths, and goals, helping you develop practical coping skills, strengthen boundaries, improve communication, and explore patterns that may be keeping you feeling stuck.

Our approach is collaborative and compassionate, with room for both working through difficult experiences and recognizing your progress. Together, we help you build greater self-understanding and take meaningful steps toward a life that reflects what matters to you.

You deserve support, too. Connect with Simply Thrive and take the next step toward thriving, not just surviving.

Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT)

When worry, self-doubt, or negative thinking takes over, it can be difficult to see a way forward. CBT helps you explore the connections between your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors and recognize patterns that may be keeping you feeling stuck. At Simply Thrive, we work collaboratively to develop more balanced perspectives, practice coping strategies, and make meaningful changes you can carry into everyday life.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

DBT combines acceptance with practical strategies for change, helping you respond to life’s challenges with greater awareness and intention. Through skills in mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and effective communication, you can learn to navigate intense feelings, strengthen boundaries, and approach relationships more thoughtfully. Together, we help you put these skills into practice in ways that reflect your needs and goals.

Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT)

Even when life feels overwhelming, you bring strengths and experiences that can help you move forward. SFBT helps you identify what you want to be different, recognize what is already working, and build on those successes. We collaborate on clear, achievable goals and practical next steps, helping you notice progress and develop confidence in your ability to create change. The length of counseling is guided by your needs and goals.

Mindfulness Therapy

When your mind is caught in worries about the future or thoughts about the past, it can be difficult to feel present. Mindfulness-based counseling helps you notice your thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations with greater curiosity and less judgment. Through practices such as grounding, breathing, and guided awareness, we help you develop ways to manage stress, recognize your needs, and respond more intentionally to everyday experiences.

Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT)

Painful thoughts and feelings can sometimes pull you away from the life you want to live. ACT helps you relate to those experiences with greater flexibility while clarifying what matters most to you. Through mindfulness, acceptance, and practical action, we help you become less caught up in unhelpful thoughts and take meaningful steps toward your values—even when discomfort is present.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

Difficult experiences can continue to shape how you feel, react, and see yourself long after they have passed. EMDR is a structured therapy that helps you process distressing memories while incorporating alternating left-and-right stimulation, such as guided eye movements or tapping. Treatment begins with preparation and coping skills, then moves forward collaboratively based on your readiness and needs. You do not always need to describe every detail of an experience to participate.
