Hi! My name is Kayla Overcash! I graduated with my Master of Science in Clinical Counseling
from East Carolina University. I also graduated with my Bachelor of Science in Rehabilitation
Services from East Carolina University. I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor
Associate and a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist Associate.

First off, I am so glad you are here! As a licensed professional, I’m passionate about helping
individuals grow, heal, and navigate the areas of life where they seek change. I understand that
each person is unique, shaped by their background and lived experiences. I strive to provide a
safe and judgment free space where all individuals feel empowered. Life is always changing
and can become overwhelming and scary. As we navigate life’s challenges we may feel lost,
overwhelmed, conflicted, or alone. I am here to help. I am dedicated to supporting individuals
through challenging times and committed to fostering positive change. Whether you’re
struggling with anxiety, depression, addiction, relationship conflict, stress, or past experiences
that still impact you today, you don’t have to face it alone. I’m here to walk alongside you on
your journey, supporting you through each step toward healing and growth. I believe in helping
individuals become the best version of themselves and live a life that aligns with their values
and hopes.

Throughout my clinical experience I have had the opportunity to work with individuals facing
substance use disorders as well as co-occurring mental health disorders. I am passionate about supporting clients through anxiety, depression, substance use and recovery, life transitions, stress management, relationship challenges, processing difficult or painful memories. Together, we’ll work at your pace to build coping skills, foster self-understanding, and create meaningful change. Healing is possible, and I’m honored to be part of your journey.

I approach each session from a person-centered lens, integrating evidence-based strategies
such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and
Motivational Interviewing (MI). I believe that each client is the expert of their own life, their
thoughts, feelings, and experiences, and my role is to support and empower them as they
navigate life’s challenges. Remember, you are not alone, and there is light at the end of the
tunnel.
