Hello! My name is Morgan Hackett, and I am glad that you are here.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I have a Master of Social Work from the
University of North Carolina at Greensboro and North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State
University, and a Bachelor’s of Science in Social Work from the University of North Carolina at
Greensboro. I have previously worked as an intensive in-home team lead and a school-based
therapist, and I have experience working with children, adolescents, and families. Currently, I
am working with children, adolescents, young adults, and families. My areas of specialty are
anxiety, ADHD, depression, grief, school and family transitions, communication, conflict
resolution, parenting, family issues, trauma, self-esteem, and self-care.
As a therapist, I utilize a cognitive behavioral therapy approach (CBT) to address a wide variety
of situations by analyzing how one’s thought process affects their responding emotions and
actions. Through the utilization of a variety of therapeutic techniques, my primary goal is to meet your desired needs for progress in growth in any area. Through utilizing strong rapport building techniques, I aim to ensure that you will feel safe and heard in this space. Through this role, I aim to be able to support you in accomplishing your goals and implementing strategies that you can implement in all areas of your life.
In my practice, I utilize a strengths-based approach to identify and encourage the use of existing strengths as a foundation for facing a variety of different conflicts and situations. I aim to emphasize resilience and empowerment in all situations. As a social worker, I believe in the
core principles of this field, service, social justice, dignity and worth of the person, importance of human relationships, integrity, and competence, and I strive to bring these principles into my
work every day as a clinician. I strive to create authentic and meaningful connections to foster
growth in all areas. All my sessions will be tailored to meet your specific needs and desires in
order to promote the most positive environment for you.
I am here to listen and support you as you walk through whatever season you may be facing,
and I look forward to meeting with you.
